Segment tapping – tapped segments

About the product

The screw conveyor is the heart of all conveyors that use the rotary motion of a screw conveyor placed in the chute for the transport of bulk, granular and non-sticky materials. in the tube. We can also find threaded coulters of different diameters and lengths in harvesters, cutters, feed mixers, mixing wagons, spreading wagons, but also in biogas plants, feed mixers, plaster mixers, etc.

There are several manufacturers in the world who produce so-called. drawn coils. They are coiled tubes that are produced by coiling deep-drawn flat strip steel on special machines. The result is a continuous coil, usually 3 or 6 metres in length, with a precisely defined diameter and pitch of the coil. The change from standard averages and gradients is very time consuming and costly.

For several years our company has been bringing to the market threaded rods manufactured from segments of respectively. offers the production of separate segments of threaded rods according to the specific requirements of our customers. The advantage of our tapping segments compared to drawn tapping segments is their equal thickness at the root, i.e. at the centre tube, as well as at the circumference of the tapping. This increases the service life and reduces the wear and tear of such a threaded bushing. Another significant advantage is the almost unlimited variability of the diameter and pitch of the threaded segments as well as the thickness of the sheet.

As standard, we offer the production of coiled tubes and coiled tubing segments up to a diameter of 650 mm and a sheet thickness of 12 mm in various pitch designs.

Material : black sheet metal, stainless steel, hardox

However, even the production of segments above this average is not impossible. However, it depends largely on the diameter of the central tube and the width of the leaf segment.

Required parameters of threaded rod segments:

  • Orientation of the screw - right/left
  • D - diameter of the threaded tube
  • d - diameter of the central shaft/tube
  • S1, S2 ... Sn - pitch of the coil segment
  • pl - thickness of the sheet/segment
