Belt conveyor

About the product

The light belt conveyor is designed for continuous or intermittent transport of bulk or small lump material in construction, agriculture, coal stockpiles, sand and gravel mining, landfills, etc.

The conveyors are composed of the following parts:

  • Driving station with drive
  • driving station
  • conveyor belt
  • frame
  • lateral guidance

The drive station with drive is made of sheet steel. The drive drum is mounted on it in two bearing houses. On one side, the drum has a longer shaft, at the end of which a pulley is placed over the tongue. The pulley gear transmits the torque from the drive to the drum. We use worm gears as the drive unit, unless the technical solution or the material to be transported requires another solution. The belt transmission is fitted with a safety cover. Tensioning screws are located on both sides of the drive station.

The driving station is made of sheet steel. There are tensioning bolts on the sides and the driven drum is mounted in bearing houses. The tensioning serves both to tension the belt and also to fine-tune the operation of the conveyor belt against misalignment.

Conveyor belt

We use two types of belts:

  • PVC belt with polyamide and cotton textile inserts,
  • rubber-textile belt.

The type of belt used depends on the material to be transported. It is possible to use a smooth belt up to 20-25° inclination or a rake belt above 25° inclination. The size and shape of the rake can also be adapted as required.

The conveyor belt is tensioned over the drums by tensioning bolts at both stations. The belt is joined by hot gluing. Gluing can be done on site (if access is poor and would hinder the conveyor belt assembly) or delivered already glued.

The frame is made of either 2 mm thick sheet metal, yaklu or tubes. Rollers are mounted at the top of the frame on which the conveyor belt is moved. The rollers are either straight or V-shaped. The belt can also slide on the sheet metal. Instead of rollers, the sheet metal is moulded. The frame is reinforced along its entire length. There are bottom retaining rollers at the bottom. The frame is divided by 2 m. The individual shapes of the troughs can be seen in the pictures (above the text).

Lateral guidance is on both sides of the conveyor belt. It is designed to prevent the material being transported from spilling over the sides of the conveyor belt. It is mounted on the frame with screws. Replacement is possible after wear. The belt speed can be selected in a range from 0.25 to 6.3 m/s. In agricultural conditions, conveyors with belt speeds of 0,75 to 3 m/s are used. The conveyor is driven by an electric gearbox. The torque is transmitted by a belt or chain transmission. The above conveyor capacities are given for the transport of material - grain with a specific weight of 750 kg/m3, a maximum moisture content of 15 % H2O, contamination up to 5 % impurities of which 1 % impurities.

The conveyor is able to functionally operate even at higher grain moisture contents with proportionally reduced power output.
