Seed line
About the product
The seed line will help you to process and prepare quality seed for your own consumption or for subsequent sale. This technological equipment consists of several important parts, which ensure the reception of seeds, their pre-cleaning, cleaning, sizing and last but not least the treatment and packaging of seeds that are already qualitatively satisfactory.
For the best possible harvest next season and high yields, farmers aim to use only the best quality seeds for sowing. It is well known that crops coming directly from the fields contain pollution of various types and sizes. These are mainly bits of soil, stones, sand, weeds, stems and seeds of other plants or insect debris.
However, successful growing results require wholesome and healthy seed that meets established standards. For this reason, cereals, oilseeds or grasses are not only cleaned but also calibrated to eliminate damaged, broken or otherwise degraded and substandard grains. Then, when sowing, the fields receive the seeds that hold the maximum potential.
High performance, efficiency and quality seed are ensured by the seed line.
How does the seed line work?
The seed line consists of several components and machines that are technologically interconnected and ready to carry out continuous operation with sufficient efficiency. Its advantages are a high degree of automation, the possibility of precise adjustment and monitoring of the entire process. These processes contribute significantly to reducing the need for manual labour.
- In the first part of the seed line there are usually technologies for receiving the processed crop. Most often these are cereals, oilseeds, legumes or grasses.
- The initial pre-treatment eliminates waste, larger contaminants and light impurities that can be removed by aspiration pre-treatment (special air flow in the chamber).
- The next stage is dedicated to precision cleaning, which is designed to eliminate qualitatively unsatisfactory seeds/grains (broken, eaten by insects), seeds of other plants and other impurities that do not correspond to the size or shape of the crop to be cleaned.
- Cleaned seed can be used directly for sowing, but if it is to be packed and stored for longer periods, it is also important to ensure that the seed is well soaked. Pickling will provide disinfection and sufficient protection against diseases and pests.
- The soaked seed must be thoroughly mixed and dried. The last stage is packaging in bags or other containers.
