Efficiency first

In the heavy industry sector, materials are transported in various forms. These are usually in bulk powder form, grit, granulate, crushed or otherwise processed natural or man-made materials. Transporting bulk material in large capacities is costly and time-consuming without adequate and efficient technological equipment. Companies and plants are therefore making extensive use of automated processes and the associated handling and transport units. Conveyor belts and related accessories are most commonly used for the controlled transport of bulk material from one location to another within a facility.

What products can you find in in our catalogue?
For the transport of bulk materials in the agro-industrial sector and industry, the following products have proven their worth:

Bucket conveyors - They are suitable for transporting dry bulk materials (lime, cement, magnesite, other dusty materials, ...) in a perpendicular direction and to greater heights. They include belt-mounted pockets/hoppers.
Belt conveyors - Ensure smooth transport of bulk or small piece materials in the construction industry. The belt can be smooth or raked. Maximum inclination up to 20-25°.
Chain conveyors - They work in a horizontal position or at an angle of max. 10 - 15° and are designed for the transport of bulk materials in the agro sector and industry. The curved chain conveyors are used to overcome steeper gradients.
Screw conveyors - They work on the principle of rotating a thread in the chute, which gradually moves the material to the hopper.

Furthermore, we must not forget either:

Segment taps - For conveying loose, granular and non-sticky materials, they use the rotary motion of the screw in the chute. In addition to conveyors, they also find application in mixers of various materials.
Elements of catchment transport - They direct the flow of loose and non-adhesive materials. They are often placed at the end outlets of conveyors.
Filler necks - They significantly limit the dustiness of finer bulk materials. They simplify the transport of material from the hopper/conveyor to the transport vehicle and adapt to height differences.

The decisive factors

The selection of conveyors or an entire process/production line is subject to careful consideration of many factors. Among the first are the basic characteristics of bulk materials in the industry. Consideration is given to grit size, cohesiveness, bulk and bulk density, tackiness, hygroscopicity, as well as explosivity and autoignition.

In addition to the type and characteristics of the bulk material, it is essential to consider capacity - i.e. how much material per unit of time needs to be transported to keep the production process running smoothly. Naturally, how far and how high you want to transport the bulk material is also part of the project , and the selection of the right type of conveyors goes hand in hand with this. As this is a process that should ideally involve a minimum of physical effort, the process units also include control elements and transport management options. Add to this a fault detection system and available service/maintenance and your production process becomes noticeably more efficient.
